Job Placement

Lifetime Job Placement Assistance

Graduates of CCTS have a free lifetime job placement service available to them. The district maintains a computerized data base to access other employers in New Jersey and across the nation.

In our job placement office, graduates register their skills and employers register their needs. The skills and needs are then matched by our full time job development coordinator with no fees to anyone. Graduates may return to use this service anytime.

School-to-Careers Training

The Apprenticeship, Cooperative Vocational Education, and other School-to Careers programs offer on-the-job training experiences for students enrolled at CCTS. In their junior or senior year, students may be eligible to attend school for half of the day and for the rest of the day they may work for standard wages in occupations that relate to the career programs for which they were trained. A qualified coordinator from the school assists students and cooperating businesses.

When our students graduate, many of them are hired full-time by their employers. Some continue to work part-time and attend college part-time. Apprentices and co-op students have an advantage over other high school graduates because they have work experience plus a high school diploma. This is a combination highly favored by prospective employers.
