The two high schools at Camden County Technical Schools (CCTS)
provide career training programs, academic courses, and extracurricular activities
to studen ts in grades nine through twelve. The Gloucester Township Campus high
school is located on Berlin Cross Keys Road in Sicklerville, New Jersey. The
Pennsauken Campus high school is located on Browning Road in Pennsauken,
New Jersey.
Graduates of CCTS may go directly into the work force with employable
skills or continue their education for advanced studies. As a public school district,
there is no charge for high school students who live in Camden County to attend CCTS and transportation is provided by local school districts.
Combined, the campuses offer 30 career programs and academies. Not
all career programs are offered in both schools. Each career program description identifies the school that offers it. Students will be placed into a career
program based on their interest and ability and after review of their 7th and 8th
grade report cards and standardized test scores.
CCTS offers a comprehensive high school program for students who are
eligible for special education and related services. It is designed to develop the
students’ occupational training proficiencies to their maximum potential and lace
them in today’s competitive employment market.
CCTS offers students vocational assessments, individualized programming,
counseling, training, child study team services, support therapies, school-to-career
transition, lifetime employment placement services, college selection counseling, and home-school services.
CCTS has maintained a tradition of excellence and was recognized by the
National Center for Research in Vocational Education as one of five exemplary vocational
education programs in the United States. In addition, the Pennsauken Campus of CCTS
was named one of the nation’s best high schools by US News and World Report.
CCTS strives to address the total needs of the learner. Combinations of
programs are available in departmentalized resource settings, as well as traditional
and inclusion program formats. The educational program for each special education
student is created by one of the Child Study Teams with participation by the family,
student, and instructional staff.
Enrollment for all students is in accordance with district admission
standards. The admission procedures are listed on the high school application and
on the last page of this publication. It is strongly recommended that students
apply in the fall of their eighth grade year for entry into CCTS as ninth graders.
